The event takes place Thursday evening at the Marriott Southwest in Minnetonka and is open to the public. Twenty-three callers will compete for the championship trophy, ring or belt buckle, and their entry fee paid to the International Auctioneers Championship in Spokane, Wash., this July. Each contestant will sell three items. Auctioneers will be judged on presentation, chant and voice, and effective auctioneering. The contest is part of the Minnesota Auctioneers Association Conference and Show.
