RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) - If you're a North Carolina artist in need of some money, here's a chance to get $10,000. The North Carolina Arts Council is accepting applications for the 2010-2011 Artist Fellowship awards until Monday. The awards are for visual arts, crafts, choreography and film or video. The award is $10,000. The Legislature funds the program, which supports creative development of North Carolina artists and new work by them. The awards allow artists to set aside time to work and to buy supplies and equipment. Artists who have been year-round residents of North Carolina for at least a year immediately prior to the application deadline may apply. Students are not eligible. ___ On the Net: 2010-2011 Artist Fellowship Awards, http://www.ncarts.org/fellowships.
