![]() CHESTER, N.Y. - William J. Jenack Auctioneers, whose headquarters are located in the scenic Hudson River Valley, is one of the fastest growing auction galleries in the regions outside of New York City. Specialists in art, furniture, jewelry, decorations and several other categories since 1988, the company conducts monthly auctions at its recently expanded gallery 55 minutes north of the Big Apple. Jenack's next big event, a comprehensive June 28, 2009 fine art and antiques auction, will reach a global audience with live Internet bidding through LiveAuctioneers.com. Asian works of art include a 22-inch-tall Chinese gilt-bronze Buddha seated in the lotus position. It is estimated at $15,000-$18,000. A Chinese carved-soapstone figure of Kwan Yin, 4¼ inches tall, is expected to make $1,000-$1,500; while a Chinese archaic-form bronze vessel known as a "ting" - with four feet and two handles, stands 13 inches tall and 10 inches wide, and could bring $1,500-$2,000 at auction.
